Hongkong - Day 34

Today I went to west Kowloon. As usual by taking the ferry to TST.

In west TST / Kowloon there are some of the highest buildings including the ICC, the highest one in HK. To take a picture of them I had to use the panorama-shot function of my camera.

This is the ICC from below:

Between ICC and harbour there is a huge highway...

..which leads in/out of the western harbour tunnel.

Also there is a huge typhoon shelter for the boats.

Then up in the ICC: I bought a ticket for the Sky100 observation deck. The elevator needs only 60 seconds for the 400m / 100 floors.
The view is awesome.

View over the Victoria Harbour Causeway. In front is TST withe the Harbour City Mall and the ocean cruise terminal. In the back is HK island waterfront with the congress center. Next to the congress center, on the left hand side, this is where I live.

View over Kowloon to the north. This is one of the most densely populated areas of the world with close to 50.000 people per sq. km.

Here the view on the typhoon shelter from above.

A roof pool on one of the hotel buildings.

The Sky100 deck was very empty and calm, perfect time for a visit..

..so I decided to enjoy the probably highest-floor-cappucino of my life and watched helicopters flying below. A great experience.
