New York - Day 9

Sunday is Gameday. In a very convinient stretch limousine we went to New Meadowland Stadium where the New York Giants were waiting for the Dallas Cowboys. The game was supposed to start at 4:15 pm but we went there earlier in order to enjoy the pre-game party. Several thousands of others did this as well...
The stadium is pretty new, it lacks in some athmosphere as the other older stadiums of the league have, though.
The tailgate party included the usual attractions: a live band...
..several vending booths,..
..a sausage eating contest,..
..and a former Giants star running back signing things.
Then we took a first look at the inside of the stadium, here's the Dalls Cowboys teamzone.
Both teams were preparing for the game, including testing their kicking units.

Then we had to climb up all the way to the most upper concourse, endless stairs.... Thankfully food and beverage was sold there as well, we could stay up there throughout the whole game.

The view from up here was quite good, though, better than expected.
And we were the part of the stadium which was able to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
As the game went on it took the usual turn, the home team lost :-( But in the meantime I'm almost used to it, maybe there's a curse somehow..?
Then came a funny moment: the stadium went black, all the lights and displays went out. Some camera flashlights were the only lights while the crowd exploded in cheering. Then, after a while, the lights came back part by part, the game was resumed..
With this delay we arrived home rather late, but easy, thanks to the limousine and our driver...
