Buenos Aires - Day 1

Well, I'm not sure if I actually post every day this time. However, I took some pics today :-) Not much text, though, since I'm so tired after being awake almost two days now, I can hardly keep my eyes open..
After almost 23 hours of travelling around the world I was driven to the apartment and received a warm welcome by two very nice Argentinian ladies who showed me the place. It a perfect small home away from home, clean and cosy, even a working Internet connection..

This is what I see from the window: a huge advertisement for the local beer, hope this has no bad influence on me :-)

The street right from the sign leads to Puerto Madero, the hippest spot of B.A. I almost got an apartment there, but I was a day too late. But I will use the old harbor basins as track for my running laps.
Even a Hooters restaurant is there :-)
Then I explored my own quarter, San Telmo. It's THE historic quarter of B.A. with small old houses and lots of small bars, restaurants and shops. It seems to attract the students...well, just like me..

And in the evening I looked out of the window again: my personal beer advertisement is nicely illuminated and tries its best to make me feel thirsty. Not today, I'm too tired even for beer....but the time will come: exactly this sort of bottle is in my fridge already ;-)
