Hongkong - Day 27

I came from school very hungry, as every day. Then, after lunch - I had very tender and soft beef brisket with rice - I had to retire to my room for a siesta. Later I felt rested and went for an evening visit of The Peak.

It was very crowded since they had restricted the area of the observation deck due to maintenance works. But I was able to get through to the railing and take a couple of pictures.
The first one about 6pm and the second maybe 20 minutes later.

Then someone asked me to take a picture of him and his wife in front of the harbor view. I did it, only to be asked again by another couple. So after I took several pictures of almost every couple on the deck my tight spot on the railing was occupied by someone else :-(
So I left the deck, looking for a good dining option.

There is are a couple of malls on top of the Peak (actually the place is not the real top of the hill, only at about 430meter or so). In one of them I found Mak's Noodle...nice name btw. ;-)
According to Wikipedia and HK's culinary history tales one Mak did invent the Wonton Noodle soup...at least that is my understanding. So this seemed to be a place to visit.

First I had the shrimp wonton noodle soup - the wontons are below the noodles in the picture, then the beef brisket noodles. I have to admit: this Mak, or his grandson that is, knows what he's doing, the noodles were execeptional good.
Only thing: the bowl was rather small, I could have eaten some more.

For the way back I first took a look at the queue for the Peak Tram. Waiting time about one hour. SO I decided to walk down. A short visit to the Internet told me I had to take the Old Peak Road...and so I did.

There were a couple of fine panorama spots on the way. Here I was able to place the camera somewhere and get some decent picture quality...

It was even the hint of an outdoor hiking feeling. I met a couple of runners (uphill!) and several groups who for an exercise walked the way up..dressed in sportswear.

After 20 minutes walk I reached the upper end of the mid-level escalator, right through the party zone of Central, were the first crowds started to build outside the bars at about 19:30pm.
