No sun - no colors :-(

This is somewhere just behind the border in Austria. It was a grey, cloudy day and it even started to rain a couple of hours later. Despite the weather it was a beautiful walk through the snow along the small creek...

Station series: Bielefeld

The central station of Bielefeld...looks almost identical to the station of Wolfsburg, which I passed on the way. Todays business trip was 800 kilometers just for a two hour meeting, it was a good one, though.
Bielefeld is mainly known for the fact that a large group of people deny its existence, the so called "Bielefeld-Verschwörung" (English: Bielefeld conspiracy). At least I can prove there is a train station with the name Bielefeld, but not sure if it was faked, the station looked like so many others :-)

Late autumn leaves

It looked nice between the blue, green and white all-around.

After sunset

This is a beautiful view of the Tegernsee towards the center of Rottach-Egern with the Wallberg (?) in the background. This part of the lake is called Malerwinkel (painters corner), certainly because it's a perfect motif for a painting.
There must have been lots of painters around in Bavaria, a quick search in the internet revealed that almost every lake in this region has its Malerwinkel....

I was here

The inevitable "I was here" picture.. Don't know why it always looks like if I'm posing in front of a huge foto wallpaper :-)

Sled run fun (almost)

From the Wallberg there is a perfect, 6 kilometers long, sled run track downhill. It looks like pure fun, unfortunately it was closed because of frozen parts. This alone is a reason to return to this place sometime...

South Bavarian homes

This is how the houses look in this area. In summer the roofs are colored not white :-)

In the woods

Sometimes a man has to go in the woods to get away from the stressful life and to find himself :-)
This is the hut of a fisher next to the small village of Kreuth. All around were small basins where the fisher grows brook trouts and other kind of fish. Inside the hut there are two small tables and a hot oven. I had a bottle of Tegernseer Hell (Bavarian beer) and a fresh smoked trout, don't know if I've eaten a better fish meal in my life...

Back from the mountains

It has been a couple of years since I saw mountains the last time.

Very impressive how small everything looks from above. Somewhere in the distance, about 50 kilometers away, lies Munich, capital of Bavaria. The name of the lake is Tegernsee.
I'm not sure whats the name of the mountains here, it was about 1700 meters high.
